Anima Mundi

Illustration

“Anima Mundi” is an illustration created for the exhibition of “Nature and Art the festival” (2021) in the village of Albareto, Italy.
The illustration is inspired by “L’Homme Zodiacal” contained in the book “Les Très Riches Heures du duc de Berry” by the Limbourg Brothers, 1412 – 1416. The concept of the illustration below:

Nature is the primordial art: it’s the universal womb from where all things originate. Nature is the “Anima Mundi”, the soul of the world: the breath of life that moves the planets and stars, an disembodied energy flowing from heaven to earth and that flows through plants, animals until you reach to man.

Nature is the mother of art as well as

art is the daughter of man.
